SPDR Gold Trust

The SPDR Gold Trust (GLD) is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that seeks to replicate the performance of the price of gold, before expenses. It invests directly in physical gold bullion stored in vaults, providing investors with an efficient and liquid way to gain exposure to the gold market without the need to purchase and store the physical metal. Its aim is for the value of the shares to reflect the value of the gold held by the Trust, less operating expenses.
